14th edition of the foundation's annual meetings

On June 23, 2022, on the occasion of its 14th edition of the annual meetings, the SILAB - Jean PAUFIQUE Corporate Foundation gathered close to 80 participants for the presentation of its new prize-winner and the research projects it currently supports.

Chaired by Brigitte Closs-Gonthier, administrator and scientific director of the foundation, this day brought together in SILAB’s premises members of the scientific council and company’s employees to share advances in biomedical research.

Anna Llebaria Fabrias, 2022 prize-winner, presented its research project which receives the financial support from the foundation for the next three years.

It is entitled “Influence of enzyme IL4I1 on the microbiota during melanoma development and the response to an anti-PD1 antibody”. This study will enable new strategies to be proposed, based on microbiota modulation, to increase the efficacy of anti-PD1 antibodies in patients with cutaneous melanoma.

These studies are carried out in the Institut Cochin in Paris (Inserm U1016, CNRS UMR 8104, University of Paris-Cité), under the direction of Dr Armelle Prévost-Blondel (IL4I1 and melanoma) jointly with Dr Benoit Chassaing (microbiota of mucus membranes and chronic inflammatory diseases).

This day was also an opportunity to follow the scientific work progress of Léa Dousset and Solène Besson, respectively 2021 and 2020 winners.

This scientific meeting ended with a cocktail party where winners, members of the foundation and SILAB staff exchanged in a friendly atmosphere.
